Initial Psychiatric Consultation
An initial psychiatric consultation is the first meeting between the patient and myself. It is to obtain a psychiatric and medical history, identify mental health issues and recommend treatment.

Follow-up psychiatric appointment
After the initial intake, future psychiatry appointments will be shorter; on average between 15 and 20 minutes. You'll discuss how the medicines are working and provide an overview of how you're doing. We will then decide whether to adjust your medications or not.

Refill appointment
Refill appointments are for established clients that are stable with their medications and only require refills without adjustments. This appointment is about 5-10 minutes.

Meet Dr. Bintou Schoen
Greetings, I’m Dr. Bintou Schoen and I am a board certified general adult psychiatrist. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background working with people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, psychosis, social anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship problems, etc. I'm deeply passionate about blending positivity and practicality in treatment, encompassing medication management and therapy to guide individuals towards wellness.

I received my undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. I then attended the Medical College of Georgia where I obtained my medical degree. After that, I received my psychiatric training at the University of South Florida in Tampa Florida.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes! We currently accept insurance from clients in Wisconsin: Aetna, Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. For out of network clients, we can provide clients with superbills for reimbursement purposes.

How long are appointment sessions?
Initial appointments are 40 minutes.
F/u appointments are 20 minutes.
Refill appointments are 10
Do You offer face to face services?
We are 100% online.

How are payments accepted?
We accept all major credit cards as a form of payment (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) For self-pay clients, payments are due before your scheduled session.
